Research Interests

  • Inventory modelling is a quantitative approach used to determine optimal ordering, production, and stocking policies for managing inventories efficiently. It helps balance conflicting costs such as ordering, holding, and shortage costs while ensuring desired service levels. These models consider factors like demand patterns, lead time, replenishment cycles, and capacity constraints. Inventory models may be deterministic or stochastic depending on demand and supply uncertainty. They are widely applied in manufacturing, retail, and supply chain management to improve operational performance.
