The Ganjam District Union of Journalists has conferred the Award of SHIKHYA GAURAV SAMMAN - 2006 to Prof. Sangram Mudali, Director of National Institute of Science & Technology. At a glittering ceremony held on 24 April 2006, the Award alongwith a Citation was presented to Prof Mudali by Hon'ble Minister of Sports, Information & Public Relations, Shri Debashis Nayak in the presence of Hon'ble Minister Tourism, Science & IT, Shri Surya narayana Patra. Prof Mudali is the founder Director of the Institute since its inception in 1996. Under his sterling leadership, NIST is now acclaimed as the leading Institute in Eastern India.
