Two students from National Institute of Science & Technology (NIST) have been placed in Broadcom with an astounding package of more than 7 lakhs.

    With this recruitment, NIST has placed 557 of its students in top multinational and international IT, Engineering and Management companies leading to an on-campus recruitment record of over 90%. More than 40 Top Multinational and Indian IT sector & Core Engineering sector companies are hiring our students each year. In the year 2010 - 11, the top five companies hired around 500 students from NIST. They are Infosys Technologies (138), Capgemini (129), HCL Technologies (83), Wipro Technologies (69), Mahindra Satyam (55). In addition to this numerous companies hired NIST students leading to the record breaking on-campus placement with the statistics of 83.08% of placements in CSE branch, 89.23% in EIE, 91.8% in EEE, 92.03% in ECE, 92.94% in IT, and 55.17% in MCA.

    The Director of NIST, Prof Sangram Mudali, attributed this success to the core strength of NIST in providing students with industry-driven technical exposure, pre-placement training and research-led-teaching.
