Microsoft India conducted a one day workshop for the Engineering & MCA students and the faculty members of NIST on 4th September 2009 at NIST campus. Three delegates, Mr. Ramesh Chandak (Senior Lead Program Manager), Mr. Balaji Mishra (Development Lead) and Mr. Rakesh Parida (Senior Software Development Engineer) visited NIST campus from Microsoft India to conduct this workshop. The workshop was divided into two sessions. Pre-lunch session was for the Engineering & MCA students and Post-lunch session was for the faculty members. 350 students from pre-final & final year and 50 faculty members from different departments attended the sessions.
In the campus Auditorium, the Pre-lunch students’ session begin with the presentation on the Introduction to Microsoft by Mr. Ramesh Chandak followed by Introduction to SQL Server Session: RDBMS Concepts, TSQL Querying, Manageability Concepts with SQL Server, Optimizing Procedural Code by Mr. Balaji Mishra and Introduction to SQL Server Session: Introduction to BI Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, BI Application Development by Mr. Rakesh Parida.
The Post-lunch faculties’ session begin with the presentation on the Introduction to WAP: Windows Academic Program and the college Resources for Windows Academic Program by Mr. Ramesh Chandak followed by Application Development using Microsoft technologies, Introduction to Microsoft Technologies on the presentation layer Middle Tier and Data Tier Microsoft Technologies by Mr. Balaji Mishra and Mr. Rakesh Parida.
This Technical workshop at NIST campus was successfully coordinated by the Training & Placement Cell under the guidance of Prof. Sangram Mudali (Director), Prof. (Mrs.) Geetika Mudali (Placement Director ) and Prof. Ajit Kumar Panda (Dean).
