ABOUT OCS    

Late Prof. M.K.Rout, the Founder President of the Orissa Chemical Society, and dedicated teachers who are no more with us will be fondly remembered by the society. This 20^th Annual Conference will be dedicated to the loving memory of Late Prof. Lokanath Mishra. The society will accord warm felicitations to some senior chemists of the state. The winners of Prof. M.K Rout Memorial Essay Competition organized among Chem. (Hons) and M.Sc.(Chem)    students of the state will be awarded prizes in the conference. Besides, the +2 students who are winners in the Chemistry Olympiad for 2006 will also be given awards in the Annual Conference.

The Seminar/Conference schedule provides forum for deliberations on the following aspects:

1. Research papers in the relevant areas will be presented.
2. Focus on teaching methods and curriculum development
3. Invited Lectures viz

5. One session of the conference will be for the seminar “Molecular Electronics”. Some of the invited guests will deliver scientific talks on Molecular Electronics enlightening the engineering students.
