The student chapter of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) at NIST is
going to be inaugurated on January 30, 2004 and a one day workshop on Embedded
Systems in Electronics and Instrumentation will be held at NIST Campus,
Orissa on the same day. The IEEE student chapter is the first in Orissa.
It
is an endeavor on our part to develop a comprehensive understanding of the
technologies behind Embedded Systems among the students and faculty members of
the institutes in eastern India. The Biju Patnaik University of Technology,
Orissa is giving emphasis to Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, DSP and Advanced
Communications in PG programs. This workshop will help the students and faculty
members to know about the state-of-the-art technologies along with the
possibilities and limitations of such technologies. The workshop will focus on research issues in the area of
embedded systems and its related areas.
ABOUT NIST
