Basic Computer organization: Processor Organization: Instruction set and design: Design of Arithmatic & Logic Unit, Floating point processor. Microprogramming, Introductory study of Multiprocessors, Array Processors, Pipe line processor, Associative processor for paralle processing, Tagged architecture, Data Flow Architecture. Interleaved memories, Cache, Associative memories, Virtual memories, Paging, Segmentation and Address translation.

Memory translation: Input - Output Sub-system, I/O Processors, Direct memory Access. Language for parallel/distribited computation. Operaitng systems for distributed ysstems.

Case studies of architecture of typical large systems.
