NIST Technology Consulting Services (NTCS) is an autonomous subsidiary of National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). Ever since its establishment, it has been actively involved in research and development with a special focus on applied research and product prototype development. It also offers consultancy services and solutions in the areas of IoT, Embedded Systems, Mobile (Android and iOS) and Web Based Applications to educational institutes and industries in the country. For over two decades, NTCS has been transforming academia and industries, addressing their complex problems with its smooth and streamlined implementations, using competences in domain- and product-based technical consultancy. It shares the same vision and mission of SM Charitable Educational Trust (the parent body of NIST) and aims for the most sustainable, low cost, environment- and community-friendly deployment that touches maximum lives and brings positive change in them.

HISTORY

The board of trustees of NIST are highly accomplished academicians and technocrats educated in top institute of India and abroad. They had a prime objective to establish and develop a center of academic excellence, research, and innovation at par with reputed universities in Odisha. To meet the same objective, and to be relevant and maintain leadership in academia and industry, they believed, preaching and practice must go hand-in-hand. Hence, in 1998, soon after the establishment of NIST, they set up its own consultancy services, NTCS, and started developing a number of ICT products for educational institutes and industry.

TEAM

Started with a handful of people, now NTCS has grown into a full-fledged development and support platform under able leadership. NTCS has a team 25 diligent experts of different spheres -- engineers, app developers, UI/UX developers and content creators -- who work together to develop streamlined solutions. This fleet of resources work exclusively on a series of client's projects. Here, management and reporting duties are shared between client and NTCS. That allows for a full scope control by the client and provides flexibility to change course as needed. A dedicated core team focuses on the on-going development and maintenance tasks. Additional staff get on-board basis the project requirements and deadline.

Our technology consultancy is strengthened by our associations with leading technology partners. Housed inside the greater National Institute of Science and Technology (Autonomous) Park, we encounter with eminent scholars, business leaders and academicians who flock around the campus throughout the year. Those meetings often lead to teaming relationships that help us create more business value, reduce risk, stay on the leading edge of technology, and enhance our product/service offerings. If needed, we can work with them to meet specific project goals. As of now we have associations with world-class Universities such as IAMS, Taiwan and UEC Japan, and private industries such as Sankalp Semiconductors, Sandhar, Millionlights, and SunMoksha. We are also working with IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, NJIT (USA) and Standford University (USA) on NMIECT, INTEL-DST-IUSF and other projects.

Online Information System (OIS) is an e-India 2013 and e-Odisha award winner complete educational ERP package for complete automation of any education institution. Developed keeping the requirements of professional institutions and their activities as per MCI/PCI/AICTE's NBA and NAAC guidelines in mind and using the latest software architecture, it allows easy and customized modifications, and offers affordable and transparent e-Governance with guaranteed satisfaction and savings. It has been in use at various institutions for over 15 years.

ERP for Corporates

It is an ERP for Sankalp Semiconductors, a leading semiconductor manufacturer based in Bengaluru. The ERP comprises as many as 20 modules, from attendance to appraisal for employees, and from planning, manufacturing control to vendor management for its business such as modules for approval, attendance, business finance, documentation, HRM, training, reimbursements, and much more. As a whole it has enough features to put any manufacturing setup on autopilot mode. We've developed and maintaining a similar ERP for Anvation Labs.

Vehicle Tracking System

Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) is beyond just tracking the vehicles, it's a complete intelligence system that puts vehicles, students/parents and management on the same page. It addresses safety and timeliness concerns of the transport system. VTS sends alerts about the vehicle's location, gathers route activity such as speed, distance covered, and fuel usage, etc. It alarms the concerned persons about preventive maintenance, and any violations regarding speed, route and timing. Ultimately, it optimizes fuel consumption and enhances safety and efficiency.

NanoSoft Remote

It is a smart energy solutions system based on IoT and Cloud designed to be a Plug-n-Play system for micro-grid management. It allows for easily connecting powerlines and/or sensors to preconfigured monitoring and control system. At the same time, it is highly configurable and customizable to customer’s specific needs. Its modular design allows the customers to select only the features they require. It's an efficient system for knowledge sharing and microgrid-standards to drive monitoring, management, maintenance and operations of electricity micro/mini-grids.

AQUAnet Remote

It is a convergence of IoT, IT and clean energy technologies designed to mitigate water problems arising from rapid urbanisation. It gathers data of water usage, wastage and quality starting from bore well discharge, water treatment plant output to the last miles such as households, apartments, industry, institution, hotels, hostels and hospitals. It monitors and controls water level in the overhead tanks and underground sumps to avoid overflow, and schedule water pumping. It also sends alerts about TDS, pH, Cl , BOD, COD, etc., over web browser and mobile app.

App for Corporates

Ported the entire ERP for Sankalp Semiconductors to mobile platform. Created an Android version of the ERP for the semiconductor manufacturer based in Bengaluru. Developed taking utmost care so that it looks and works seamlessly across the web and mobile. Worked on as many as 20 modules, from attendance to appraisal for employees, and from planning, manufacturing control to vendor management for its business such as modules for approval, attendance, business finance, documentation, HRM, training, reimbursements, and much more.
