It is a great pleasure to welcome the new Batch of 2011 to a temple of modern
learning called NIST. The founder of NIST, Shri Surendra Mudali
had a dream and a vision to transform NIST into a
mecca of technical and
professional education and journey has well begun. NIST is one of the leading top
institutes of the country within the top 100. The 150 faculty members of the Institute
comprising of over 40 core faculty from the IITs, IISc and top universities of the
world, are determined to provide the best undergraduate and graduate education.
What sets NIST completely apart is its singular determination to be a frontline
leader in teaching and research competing with the IITs and NITs for this honor.
Students of NIST stand out in start contrast as they are the most disciplined, hard
working, ethical, multi-skill, highly motivated, ambitious professionals ever produced
in India. This is not mere drum beating but is vouched by thousands of our alumni
