Our DEAN, Dr. Ajit Kumar Panda received his Ph.D. degree in
Microelectronics in 1996 from Sambalpur University and has done his M.Tech
degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.He was a CSIR
fellow during his Ph.D. He had received the CSIR Research Award and
was pursuing his post doctorate work in Microelectronics before joining
NIST. He received the BOYSCAST fellowship from the Department of Science
and Technology, Government of India and pursued his post doctorate at
University of Michigan, USA for a year. He is the recipient of ICTP
Regular Associate Award for six years for the collaboration work with
ICTP Microelectronics Laboratory. Through this program, he visits ICTP
very often for his research work. He has published 20 international
Journal papers and presented his work in more than 50
international/national conferences in the area of VLSI and Microelectronics.
He has developed the sophisticated VLSI Laboratory of NIST. He is a
member of IEEE, IETE, ISTE and VLSI Society of India.
